NHD Awarded Novation Contract
NHD is pleased to announce its new dual-source imaging product and service agreement with Novation, the contacting services company of VHA Inc. and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), that begins April 1, 2006. The product agreement will include medical film, film chemistry, accessories, injectable contrast media, ultrasound gel and barium. The agreement also offers members a value-add equipment purchasing opportunity for Novation contracted computed and digital and radiographic equipment. The comprehensive service agreement includes third-party service for film handling and digital equipment, in addition to processor service. VHA and UHC members can utilize electronic data interchange or other electronic resources for product information and order procurement. The agreement also extends to the members of HealthCare Purchasing Partners International (HPPI), another health care group purchasing organization owned by VHA and UHC.

We feel the standardization offer, including reduced film prices, in this agreement will encourage hospitals to standardize around our products and services. Our NHD service programs offer VHA, UHC and HPPI members the ability to reduce costs as they take advantage of our third party service offerings with lasers, computed and digital radiography, fluoroscopic and networking equipment modalities.”
